Dear Booklings,

2025 is taking me in new directions that I wish to follow and to do so I need to free up some of that very precious commodity… time.

When I look at the amount of books we have read, and the hours of Q&A’s and Book Discussions we have shared I am filled with years of knowledge and sharing that has been invaluable to my practice and inspiring to my soul…

We have learnt about trans and non-binary voices, racial listening bias, the ontological history of the voice, overcoming performance anxiety, how to work with the body to free the voice, learnt about developing skills to support better daily choices and habits, talent, breath, acting, the music industry, biotensegrity, the musicians mind, trauma and the voice, emotions and the performer, the brain and music, backing singing, approaches to voice in the studio (systematic and otherwise), menopause and the voice, acoustics, oh and that small subject… teaching singing in the 21st Century.

Despite beginning the years reading, what I haven’t found is a direction to take the Book Club in through the rest of 2025 that I feel is inspiring enough to continue driving us forward into the rest of the year (there are only SO many books in the world that are voice related, right?!) and therefore this is the project I am letting go, with immediate effect.

It’s been a total blast. I am hugely proud. It’s now time for the next chapter…
